General Membership
Meetings
The General Membership of the FCRP meet
formally at least four times a year. Meetings are most often held on
a Saturday morning in La Grange.
In addition to routine organizational
business, General Membership meetings usually include a program or
speaker of interest to Fayette County Republicans and
conservatives. All Republicans, whether a member of the FCRP or not, are
invited and encouraged to attend our General Membership
meetings.

Meetings With Elected
Officials & Candidates for Office
Elected officials and hopeful candidates for
office routinely visit with the FCRP at our meetings, as well as
at campaign functions and special events in Fayette County.
These appearances provide us with an opportunity to learn about
current issues and share our opinions directly with our
political leaders.

Precinct Conventions
Every two years the Republican Party in
Fayette County holds Precinct Conventions at each polling place
following the primary election in even numbered years. These
conventions provide Republicans with an opportunity to propose
resolutions to be considered at the Fayette County Convention as
a potential plank in the state party platform. Precinct
Conventions also elect delegates and alternates to attend and
participate in the Fayette County Convention. Anyone who voted
in the Republican Primary can (and should) participate in their
Precinct Convention and be elected as a delegate to the County
Convention. While the number of delegates each precinct can
elect varies, every Voter Precinct can send delegates to the
County Convention.
